Enlightenment: Transformation of Society

Human Cloning, a science unlike any other

In 1997 a sheep by the name of "Dolly" was cloned. This caused stirred reaction all over the world. The U.S. banned federal funding for cloning. Many world organizations have passed resolutions asserting that human cloning is both morally and legally wrong. However, cloning research still exists behind the scenes world wide. Do you think it's wrong or are we limiting scientific research?
Motions:
1. Maintain a ban on cloning.
2. Loosen the ban on cloning for scientific research.

Censoring the Internet

The Internet is the fastest growing and happens to be the the greatest tool for mass communication and information distribution all over the world. Increased concern has arised over violent and sexual content. For example, terrorist activities, child pornography, and even instructions to making weapons. Thus, some have called for censorship.

1. Censorship of the internet.
2. No censorship of the internet.

Censoring the Arts

Democracies today value free expression. Yet, free expression and freedom of speech is never absolute in society. Some members of society are disturbed by correlations shown among watching violent films, television shows, video games and the violent behavior that exists.

1. One side may support censorship of the arts.
2. Censorship is totally against censorship of the arts
